This episode is extremely special to me and I’m absolutely overwhelmed with gratitude for the opportunity to share my conversation with not only a mentor that I hold in the highest regard, but also one of my closest friends, Wayne Rancourt.

We get deep into the philosophical weeds as we always do, and I think when you listen you’ll agree.. there is no limit to the level of compassion, authenticity, and motivation to impact people in a positive way with Wayne. He is truly one of the most genuine and unique people I have ever met.

Whether you are a runner or not, I guarantee you will be moved by this conversation.

Raised just outside of Eugene, Oregon, otherwise known as Track Town, USA, Sid went from a high school JV runner to a walk on at the University of Oregon where he found his speed and ultimately a new perspective on what it means to “win” while working under legendary coach and Tokyo Olympic bronze medalist, Bill Dellinger. 🇺🇸
He took this philosophy from the track and transitioned it into a very successful professional career that ultimately led to an early retirement, giving Sid and his wife the fortunate opportunity to continue a life of service through the multiple philanthropic efforts they partner with, all while Sid continued to accumulate over 75,000 lifetime running miles!! 🏃‍♂️ 😮
Please enjoy this conversation with my good friend and mentor, Sid Sullivan.

From a world traveling adventure racer participating in the sport at the highest level, to a sponsored elite trail runner who raced all over the globe including capturing an FKT for the fastest supported woman to run the Zion Traverse, Joelle Faught ultimately came face to face with the biggest challenge of her life, a medical emergency that threatened to change it all.
Join us as we explore not only the physical and mental benefits that come from a lifetime of seeking adventure and self understanding, but also what inspires and motivates a unique individual to break free from the ordinary, and truly Run from the Norm.

For the very FIRST episode of the Run from the Norm podcast I was fortunate enough to be joined by my good friend, successful real estate agent, accomplished ultra-runner, and all around outdoor enthusiast, Graham MacKenzie.
In this episode we talk about why Graham first found his way to running the trails, embracing a love of nature and the outdoors, his thoughts on health and longevity, and the importance of doing hard things as a gateway to continued growth and development.
